The former Fox News host and conservative commentator reacted to the viral image Trump posted on Truth Social on Sunday, which confirmed him sporting robes and showing to carry out a miracle on a sick man.

Kelly didn’t mince phrases in her criticism.

While sharply crucial of the image, Kelly took a more measured tone on Trump’s separate tirade against Pope Leo XIV.

“It occurred to me that it was just a matter of time before President Trump would lash out at him, and he did,” she said.

“So it wasn’t great. It was predictable and no Catholic loves this, but you could see it coming.”

Kelly prompt Trump’s response to the pope match a well-recognized sample.

“It’s hard to say that Trump is completely out of line because whenever he gets attacked … he punches back,” she said.

“This is what he does.”

The controversy comes amid an escalating feud between Trump and the pontiff over the Iran battle, with the pope criticizing threats to destroy a “whole civilization” and warning that “God does not bless any conflict.”

Trump, for his half, defended the image, claiming it was meant to depict him as a doctor slightly than a non secular determine and dismissing criticism as “fake news.”
