AI startup Rocket offers vibe McKinsey-style reports at a fraction of the cost

Indian startup Rocket is betting that the next big alternative is the half before vibe coding: having AI assist people resolve what to build. It has launched a platform that produces consulting-style product methods.

The startup, based in Surat, India, on Tuesday launched its platform, Rocket 1.0, which connects research, product constructing, and competitive intelligence in a single workflow. The platform generates detailed product strategy paperwork — including pricing, unit economics, and go-to-market suggestions.

As AI-powered coding instruments proliferate — from platforms like Cursor, Replit, and Lovable to options such as Claude Code and Codex — writing code has turn into considerably simpler and quicker. “Everyone can generate the code now… it has become a commodity. But what to build is something which everyone is missing,” said Rocket co-founder and CEO Vishal Virani (pictured above), including that “running a business and just building a codebase are two different things.”

TechCrunch briefly examined Rocket’s platform ahead of its launch and located that it generated product requirement paperwork in PDF format from simple prompts. These paperwork resemble consulting-style reports slightly than vibe coding instruments or chatbots, which largely deal with options and execution.

However, some of the analysis gave the impression to be synthesized from present data — combining identified pricing fashions, consumer conduct patterns, and competitive insights — slightly than based on independently verifiable info. This suggests customers could still have to validate outputs before making enterprise selections. Virani said the platform can provide human help when customers encounter points.

The product can also observe opponents, including adjustments to their web sites and visitors traits. Rocket attracts on more than 1,000 data sources for its analysis, including Meta’s advert libraries, Similarweb’s API, and its personal crawlers, Virani said.

Rocket’s subscription plans vary from $25 per thirty days for constructing purposes to $250 for strategy and research capabilities, and as much as $350 for the full platform, including competitive intelligence.

The $250 plan can generate two to 3 “McKinsey-grade” research reports alongside product builds, Virani told TechCrunch, positioning its higher-tier choices as a lower-cost different to conventional consulting, which often prices 1000’s of {dollars} for comparable strategy work.

Rocket raised a $15 million seed round in September from Accel, Salesforce Ventures, and Together Fund. Since then, the startup says it has grown from 400,000 to over 1.5 million customers across 180 international locations. It also reported an annualized common income per consumer in the ~$4,000 vary, though it didn’t disclose detailed paying buyer numbers. The startup said it operates at gross margins of over 50%, with 20–30% of its prospects being small- and medium-sized companies.

Rocket has a team of 57 workers and is headquartered in Surat, with operations in Palo Alto.
