Make-Up, Hair Stylists Guild Nominations: ‘One Battle After Another’

Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” “Sinners,” “Weapons,” “Frankenstein and “Wicked: For Good” led the thirteenth annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Award nominations.

The movies all three landed nominations apiece.

The make-up and hair team behind “One Battle After Another” was nominated in up to date make-up and particular make-up prosthetics. Arjen Tuiten, who was nominated in the latter class, used prosthetic items, contact lenses and dentures for Sean Penn’s Colonel Lockjaw in the movie’s third act after he survives a horrific automobile crash.

For “Frankenstein,” Mike Hill, the movie’s prosthetics artist, steered clear of the basic zombie, and used 42 prosthetic items to remodel Jacob Elordi in Guillermo del Toro’s Creature.

Francis Hannon had her work lower out for her on “Wicked: For Good.” Aside from holding Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba inexperienced, she needed to work with Mark Coulier to rework Jonathan Bailey into the Scarecrow and Ethan Slater into the Tin Man. 11 items have been utilized to Slater’s face, including cheekbone prosthetics that modified his cheek line and extra items to change his jawline. The course of took 4 hours.

On “Weapons,” the team created prosthetics that unlocked the internal darkness that lurks behind her Aunt Gladys’ rimmed glasses. Amy Madigan’s look wanted to be ferocious and wanted to reflect an animal that was preying upon its victims.

Other nominated groups embrace “Bugonia,” “Marty Supreme,” “Superman” and “Battle of a Small Player.”

It’s value noting that “Frankenstein,” “Marty Supreme,” “One Battle after Another,” “Sinners,” “The Smashing Machine” and “Wicked: For Good” are the only movies to match the Oscars shortlist.

On TV, there was a tie in the best up to date make-up in a tv sequence, restricted or film for TV, which resulted in six nominations.

The new and final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” landed a complete of 4 nominations, including a nod in the industrial class for the Discover x “Stranger Things” advert.

Lady Gaga’s hairstylist, Sarah Tanno, was also nominated for her work on the “Abracadabra” music video.

The 13^th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards is offered by L’Oréal Groupe and Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty. Winners might be honored at the Valentine’s Day awards gala on Feb. 14, 2026, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.
