The Trump administration is under growing strain from lawmakers, U.S. companies, and now decrease courts to expedite the strategy of issuing tariff refunds.

On Monday, a federal appeals courtroom refused to postpone the tariff refund course of in light of the Supreme Court ruling that nullified most of President Donald Trump‘s signature tariffs. Legislators like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass. ) are urging the president to return the unlawful tariff funds.

She posted on X, “Any refunds must end up in the pockets of the Americans who were illegally cheated out of their money by Donald Trump.”

The push for issuing refunds also comes from Democratic Senators Ron Wyden, Edward J. Markey, and Jeanne Shaheen, together with 19 other Senate Democrats, who proposed laws that would guarantee the cash collected from Trump’s unlawful tariffs is “repaid immediately” to U.S. companies, setting a 180-day deadline in collaboration with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
