TikTok down for some in US, thanks to second Oracle outage since sale

Some TikTok customers in the U.S. are having hassle utilizing the app, which the company attributes to an issue with an Oracle data middle.

Oracle has been offering cloud companies and managing person data for TikTok since before the creation of the TikTok USDS Joint Venture. Since the sale, Oracle points have now contributed to two major TikTok outages.

Just days after the sale was finalized in January, TikTok skilled a comparable outage, which it attributed to a winter storm that impacted a major Oracle data middle.

Oracle has not yet recognized the explanation for Tuesday’s outage.
