NayaPay and Alipay+ Partner to Launch Global QR Payments for Pakistani Users

Pakistani fintech platform NayaPay has partnered with Alipay+, the global pockets gateway powered by Ant International, to launch global QR funds. The transfer will permit hundreds of thousands of NayaPay customers to scan and pay at Alipay+ retailers in over 50 nations, considerably increasing the worldwide utility of the Pakistani digital pockets.

The partnership is designed to join Pakistani customers with an intensive global ecosystem of retailers, spanning retail, eating, transport, healthcare, and leisure. By leveraging Alipay+’s network, which connects 40 worldwide cell fee companions to more than 150 million retailers worldwide, NayaPay goals to make cross-border funds sooner, more inexpensive, and seamless.

Empowering Pakistani travellers

For Pakistani travellers, the integration removes the friction often related to utilizing money or conventional playing cards overseas. Users might be ready to make safe funds instantly from their NayaPay app, benefiting from clear change charges and the comfort of a digital-first experience.

Danish A. Lakhani, chief govt officer of NayaPay, said: “When we started NayaPay, our ambition was to give Pakistanis the same freedom and confidence with money that people enjoy in the world’s most advanced markets. This step brings us closer, not only by making payments abroad seamless but by making them universally accessible and easy on the pocket. Whether our users are studying, working or exploring the world, they deserve a global payment experience that keeps up with them.”

A deepening collaboration

The launch marks the next part of a rising partnership between the two firms. In early 2024, NayaPay grew to become the first fintech in Pakistan to allow direct QR funds at over 80 million retailers in China. The expanded integration now brings that same functionality to markets worldwide.

Pan Yan, head of strategic partnership workplace for Alipay+ at Ant International, commented: “Our goal at Alipay+ is to connect anyone, anywhere in a seamless, digitally-enabled manner. The growth of mobile platforms like NayaPay is transforming how millions of people travel and interact with local merchants. Through this next step of our collaboration, we’re jointly making it easier for Pakistanis to explore the world, and do so with the same trusted and familiar experience, just like home.”

NayaPay, which is authorised by the State Bank of Pakistan, empowers underserved customers and small companies with entry to digital monetary companies, including e-money accounts, Visa debit playing cards, and invoice funds. In 2024, the company was recognised on the Forbes Asia 100 to Watch record and named to the CB Insights Fintech 100.
