Melissa Barrera to Make Broadway Debut in ‘Titanique’

Melissa Barrera is heading to Broadway.

Variety has discovered solely that the “Scream” and “In the Heights” star will make her Broadway debut in the campy spoof “Titanique,” getting into the position of Rose for the musical’s upcoming Main Stem bow at the St. James Theatre in New York.

The award-winning comedy reimagines James Cameron’s 1997 blockbuster “Titanic” by way of the perspective and tune catalog of Céline Dion.

Barrera takes on the position of Rose DeWitt Bukater, immortalized on display by Kate Winslet, in a spoof that asks what “really happened to Jack and Rose on that fateful night,” all filtered by way of Dion’s greatest hits.
