McDonald’s will soon offer value meals for $3 or less

McDonald’s is planning to offer low-cost menu gadgets going for $3 or less in a bid to win again low-income prospects feeling the sting of inflation, sources told The Post.

They said that beginning in April, low-cost offers are set to incorporate gadgets like sausage biscuits and four-piece McNuggets for $3 or less, together with a $4 breakfast combo including a McMuffin, hash brown and low.

The initiative, first reported by the Wall Street Journal, is aimed toward luring budget-sensitive prospects who’ve pulled again on their spending at the fast meals big, notably on breakfast.

McDonald’s declined to touch upon the effort, recognized internally as “McValue 2.0.”

The company addressed the upcoming menu additions in a message to its franchisees on Monday, saying, “We have achieved incredible progress together and remain committed to meeting ever-changing customer needs.”

The new $3 deal is about to exchange the buy-one-add-one-for-a-dollar menu that was launched last 12 months.

McDonald’s launched $5 offers in 2024, providing the $1 add-ons beginning in January 2025.

The chain hinted at the forthcoming reductions in when CEO Chris Kempczinski said on a February investor name, “We absolutely are going to make sure that we are protecting our leadership position in value.”

Inflation — which held regular in February however may worsen as battle continues to rage in the Middle East — has prompted other fast meals and fast-casual joints to chop costs on some gadgets.

Domino’s Pizza lately launched $9.99 pies, and Panera is making an attempt to entice prospects with $4.99 “mix-and-match” combos.

McDonald’s plans to start training eating places on the new offers in coming weeks.
