Algerian boxer Imane Khelif says she would take a sex test if it allowed her to compete at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Khelif, who received women’s welterweight gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has since confronted scrutiny over her gender eligibility.

In 2023, she and Taiwanese fighter Lin Yu-ting had been disqualified from the World Championships by the International Boxing Association (IBA) for allegedly failing gender eligibility checks.
