Jeff Goldblum Stopped Eating Meat After Starring in ‘Wicked: For Good’

Jeff Goldblum says he’s gone vegetarian after playing the Wizard of Oz in Jon M. Chu’s blockbuster sequel “Wicked: For Good.”

During a current interview on “This Morning,” Goldblum mentioned how fortunate he feels to play such an impactful position as the Wizard at age 73. He also added that, because of the movie’s themes surrounding animal cruelty, he has stopped consuming meat.

“It’s uncommon that you get to be doing this over a period of time and get more fertile and juicy and interesting and relevant roles for yourself at this period of time,” Goldblum said. “Working with Jon Chu [is] amazing. It’s changed me. You know, after doing this movie, we talked about the animal cruelty, I stopped eating meat and poultry.”

He added, “We need the world to work for everybody on Earth and every creature, too.”

After placing his spin on the villainous ruler of Oz in 2024’s “Wicked,” Goldblum will reprise the position in “Wicked: For Good” on Nov. 21. His co-stars embrace Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible.

The first “Wicked” earned 10 nominations at last 12 months’s Academy Awards and took residence two statues for best achievement in costume design and best achievement in manufacturing design.

“Wicked: For Good” is anticipated to repeat the 10 nominations led by best actress and best supporting actress picks for Erivo and Grande, respectively. If they each repeat, they might change into the seventh and eighth performers in Oscar historical past to be nominated twice for the same position.
