‘Heated Rivalry’ Season 2 Eyes April 2027 Release, Films This Summer

Season 2 of “Heated Rivalry” is coming “as soon as humanly possible,” according to collection creator Jacob Tierney.

Tierney appeared alongside government producer Brendan Brady on “CBS Mornings” on Thursday and gave Gayle King an update on how the next set up of their hockey romance drama is progressing. Production on Season 2 is slated to start this August, with an anticipated release date in April 2027.

“There will be more Heated Rivalry on your TVs truly as soon as humanly possible,” Tierney told King, leaning into the present’s secret romance and saying followers ought to “enjoy the yearn” until they will watch new episodes.

“Heated Rivalry” is based on the “Game Changers” e book collection by Rachel Reid. The collection, produced by the Crave in Canada and streaming on HBO Max in the U.S., follows star hockey gamers Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), (*2*) according to the official collection description. “What begins as a secret fling between two fresh-faced rookies evolves into a years-long journey of love, denial and self-discovery. Over the next eight years, the pair chase glory on the ice while struggling to navigate their feelings off it. The news comes after Reid announced that “Unrivaled,” the upcoming seventh e book in the “Game Changers” collection, has been delayed from from its deliberate Sept. 29 release date to June 1, 2027 as she offers with worsening symptoms of her Parkinson’s disease in addition to a busier schedule on account of the exploding success of “Heated Rivalry.”
