ClearScore Acquires Acre Platforms to Accelerate Mortgage Expansion

The ClearScore Group has acquired Acre Platforms Ltd (Acre), the UK’s fastest-growing middleman mortgage platform, in a transfer designed to fast-track its expansion into the mortgage sector.

The acquisition will see ClearScore combine Acre’s technology to route demand from its 16 million UK customers straight into Acre’s dealer ecosystem.

Acre’s platform is designed to streamline the mortgage course of through the use of data to cut back administrative burdens for brokers. Under the new possession, the enterprise will continue to present technology options for mortgage and safety corporations while powering ClearScore’s broader mortgage strategy.

The deal follows ClearScore’s acquisition of Aro Finance in early 2025, which bolstered its capabilities in secured loans. By including Acre, the group goals to create a complete lending ecosystem that spans unsecured credit score, auto finance, and now mortgages.

While the rapid focus is on the UK market, the group has outlined plans to prolong the mortgage platform into its worldwide operations in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

The group intends for Acre to turn out to be an “integral layer” of the mortgage ecosystem, mirroring the function its open banking service, D•One, performs in the credit score sector.
