British Society of Cinematographers Feature Film Nominees


Die My Love” (Seamus McGarvey),” “Marty Supreme” (Darius Khondji) and “Sinners” (Autumn Arkapaw Arkapaw) had been among the British Society of Cinematographers feature movie nominees.

Rounding out the class had been “Frankenstein” (Dan Lausten) and “One Battle After Another” (Michael Bauman).

In tv drama, “The Studio,” “Adolescence,” “Black Mirror” and “Task” had been also nominated.

Bauman and Arkapaw landed their first nominations, while Khondji landed his fourth. McGarvey scored his sixth nom. He beforehand gained for “Anna Karenina” and “Nocturnal Animals.”

Last 12 months’s recipient, Lol Crawley, who gained for “The Brutalist,” went on to win each the Oscar and BAFTA.

Christopher Ross BSC, President of the British Society of Cinematographers commented, “I want to extend my congratulations to all the cinematographers who have been nominated this year. 2025 represented an extraordinary year for artistry in our craft, and the nominations announced today reflect not only the range of projects but also how global cinematography has become. I look forward to toasting you all at our awards in February.”

Nominations for the BSC John Alcott Memorial Award, BSC Bert Easey Technical Achievement Award and BSC Special Achievement Award can be announced at a later date. The British Society of Cinematographers together with the Association of Camera Operators and the Guild of British Camera Technicians will current The Operators Award – Feature Film and The Operators Award – Television Drama can be announced at a later date.

The winners can be announced on Feb. 7 at The Great Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

The Cinematography in a Feature Film Award is sponsored by Sunbelt Rentals (UK). The Television Drama (UK Terrestrial) class is sponsored by Sony and the Television Drama (International/Steaming) is sponsored by MBSE. The Music Video class is sponsored by Aputure.
