Annie Awards Winners: ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Leads 


KPop Demon Hunters” led with 10 wins at the 53rd Annie Awards, taking residence trophies for best feature, character animation, course and manufacturing design, among others. The awards, thought of animation’s highest honor, have been introduced at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles on Saturday.  

Director Ugo Bienvenu’s “Arco” gained best impartial feature, while Adult Swim’s “Common Side Effects” and Netflix’ “Love, Death + Robots” led in the tv classes with 4 and three wins, respectively. “Common Side Effects” claimed the titles of best editorial, best writing, best mature TV/media and best course, with “Love, Death + Robots” securing wins for best character design, best manufacturing design and best storyboarding. 

Juried awards have been also introduced, including the Winsor McCay Award to Michaël Dudok de Wit, Christopher Miller, Phil Lord and Chris Sanders and the June Foray Award to Sandy Rabins. The Ub Iwerks Award for technical development affecting the animation business was introduced to Wacom and the Special Achievement Award was introduced to LightBox Expo. ASIFA-Hollywood Merit Award was introduced to Jeffrey New and Haley Mirren Douthit

Each 12 months, the Annie Awards rejoice excellence in animation, awarding particular person artists and the animation business as an entire for his or her excellent achievements.
