American Airlines Moving Forward With Major Change Amid Low Demand

American Airlines has already began making strikes in an effort to depart one major airport by submitting a petition to the U.S. Department of Transportation. The request comes on the heels of low passenger curiosity within the respective vacation spot that has already seen another airline depart its major hub.

American Airlines Wants to Change Cuba Routes

Multiple reviews from Travel and Tour World and The U.S. Sun revealed American Airlines filed a movement in March requesting to chop various providers to cities including Havana, Holguin, Varadero, and Santiago de Cuba. A second request was then filed in June before the airline made yet another request to scale again its daily Miami-Santiago de Cuba spherical journey.

The service intends to chop three of its eight daily Miami-Havana spherical journeys that happen on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Travel and Tour World reported as many as 4 of the eight flights from Miami to Havana are already canceled in a given day as a consequence of low demand.

American Airlines executives also reportedly proposed to chop its daily Miami-Holguin spherical journey service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with further proposals to chop certainly one of its two daily flights from Miami to Santa Clara.

The airline is awaiting approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation relating to the change.

American Airlines Joins Other Major Airlines
