Adam Pally to Star in New Zealand Comedy Series ‘The Sanctuary’

“Happy Endings” and “The Mindy Project” star Adam Pally has been solid as the lead in “The Sanctuary,” an upcoming comedy collection from L.A.-based producers Happy Accidents and New Zealand’s Kevin & Co., in addition to Warner Bros. Discovery’s New Zealand division.

In “The Sanctuary,” Pally will star as “an eccentric American billionaire hiding from the law in New Zealand who is forced to convert his lavish private island into a Department of Conservation sanctuary to avoid extradition.”

Joseph Moore and Laura Daniel created the eight-episode collection, which has been picked up to air in New Zealand on Sky’s Three network, in addition to on the streamer ThreeNow. There’s no phrase yet on distribution in the U.S.

Besides “Happy Endings” and “The Mindy Project,” Pally also starred on collection including “Making History” and “Indebted,” and also was an government producer on Comedy Central’s “The President Show.”
