2026 NFL mock draft: Broncos add RB to backfield


Ahead of Super Bowl LX next weekend and the conclusion of the 2025 season, Draft Wire’s Curt Popejoy launched an up to date three-round 2026 NFL mock draft.

The Denver Broncos maintain their authentic picks in the first three rounds, and Popejoy has Denver including a pair of defenders before including a spark to the team’s backfield.

First, the Broncos choose Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood in the first round. Hood hung out at Auburn, Colorado and Tennessee during his three-year faculty profession, totaling 77 tackles, 14 move breakups, three interceptions (one returned for a landing) and one fumble recovery (returned for a landing).

In the second round, Denver provides Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez. In his final two seasons with the Red Raiders, Rodriguez totaled 255 tackles, 10 move breakups, 10 pressured fumbles, six sacks, 5 interceptions and 4 fumble recoveries (two returned for touchdowns).

To wrap up the three-round mock draft, Popejoy has the Broncos deciding on Penn State working again Nicholas Singleton. Playing in a shared backfield with Kaytron Allen, Singleton rushed 123 instances for 549 yards and 13 touchdowns last fall. In 4 seasons at PSU, Singleton totaled 4,448 yards from scrimmage and scored 54 touchdowns.
